Estates in Bloom – winners announced

Green fingered Lambeth tenants and leaseholders will soon find out who will be crowned the borough’s best gardeners.
The annual Estates in Bloom competition has closed and winners will be announced at next week’s prize giving ceremony.
The Mayor of Lambeth and Lambeth Living Chief Executive Cathy Deplessis will be at the presentation on Thursday, 14 October at Lambeth Town Hall. The categories are:

• Best Domestic Grassed Garden
• Best Domestic Paved Garden
• Best Young Gardener
• Best Domestic Balcony or Container Display
• Best Community Garden
• Best Sheltered Housing Scheme
• Best Kept Estate

The Estates in Bloom competition celebrates the look of the borough, improves the environment on estates, and encourages community involvement.
